Our systems ensure accurate measurement of raw materials, chemicals, and finished products while maintaining compliance with international safety standards. Built for durability and reliability, they support efficient operations, improve resource management, and perform consistently even in hazardous environments.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Every industrial site runs on numbers nobody watches happen in real time: how much left the warehouse, how much arrived at the port, how much scrap came off the line. Get one of those numbers wrong and the cost rarely stays small. A drifting floor scale can trigger a short-weight dispute with a client, a flagged reading during a compliance audit, or a write-off nobody can fully explain.
This floor scale range closes the gap on the toughest floors in the GCC: heat, sand, forklift traffic, round-the-clock production, and everything a warehouse in Jeddah, Dammam, or Dubai can throw at a load cell. Six platforms cover six different jobs, from a scale that rides on a pallet truck to a crane-fed platform rated for 30 tonnes.
We’re not here to sell you a scale and disappear. GSS is the GCC’s strategic partner for the full weighing lifecycle: sales, installation, SASO and OIML-compliant calibration, coding and marking, labeling, and packaging line integration. The same team that specs your floor scale keeps it certified, serviced, and ready for whoever walks onto your site with a clipboard.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
PFD779 Floor Scale (PowerDeck™)
The PFD779 PowerDeck™ is the smartest scale in the range, built for teams who can’t afford unplanned downtime. Its digital POWERCELL® load cells replace the traditional analog setup and remove the junction box altogether, eliminating a common point of failure while giving each load cell its own diagnostics.
The scale alerts operators to optimal placement and guards against off-scale errors, and tracks shock and overload in real time, flagging problems before they turn into a critical failure. Configurations run from 300 kg up to 12 tons across platforms from 0.8m to 2.5m, with resolution up to 10,000e legal-for-trade accuracy and process resolutions between 3,000e and 60,000d.
It’s legal for trade to NTEP and OIML standards, with ATEX Cat. 3GD and FM Class I/II/III Division 2 approval for hazardous areas. If your operation runs shifts around the clock and every hour of downtime has a cost attached, this is the scale that earns its keep.
PFA569 Liftop Floor Scale (PFA569lift)
Food, pharma, and precious metals plants live and die by their next hygiene audit. The PFA569lift solves the one problem every stainless floor scale has: what’s underneath it. Built-in gas springs control the lifting and lowering speed, so the platform opens with minimal effort and closes gently, and one person can lift the platform manually to expose the frame for a full washdown in minutes.
Constructed entirely from Type 304 stainless steel with four hermetically sealed stainless load cells and IP69K stainless junction boxes, it shrugs off caustic wash chemicals and daily steam cleaning. A versatile design allows installation in a pit or directly on top of the floor, with capacity options between 600 kg and 3,000 kg depending on platform size. Either way, your next auditor won’t find anything to flag.
Pallet Truck Scale BTA231
Every extra trip to a static scale is a trip you’re paying for in labor and time. The BTA231 combines transport and weighing in one step, at up to 2,000 kg capacity. A 6V, 10Ah battery delivers 95 hours of operating time on an 8 to 12 hour charge, so it runs a full working week before it needs plugging in. The ergonomically designed function handle allows fast lifting, weighing, steering, and moving in a single motion, and high-quality wheels ride easily over uneven surfaces. For logistics operations, 3PLs, and distribution centers where throughput is the whole game, this is the scale that pays for itself in saved labor hours.
BSA231-600M Floor Scale (Mobile Pallet Scale)
Not every job needs a scale bolted to the floor. The BSA231-600M comes pre-assembled with the user-friendly IND231 terminal already wired in, so it’s weighing within minutes of arrival. Wheel-equipped fork ends and a convenient frame handle mean it moves with you afterward, while an integrated level ensures the scale can always be quickly and accurately leveled. A unique Rocker-Foot suspension guarantees outstanding shock and vibration damping, so your 600 kg capacity stays accurate load after load, not just on day one. Built for receiving docks, production floors that shift layout often, and any site where the scale needs to go where the work is.
PG/PGV Floor Scale (Heavy-Capacity Crane Scale)
Cranes don’t set loads down gently, and a standard floor scale wasn’t built to take that kind of hit twice. The PG/PGV range was. A double-platform design with helical compression springs between the two decks absorbs the impact energy from crane-loaded goods, protecting the load cells and extending the life of the scale.
The frame carries reliable protection and is designed for heavy freight moved by cranes or large forklifts, with a V-saddle option available for coil and bar stock weighing. It’s widely used in metallurgical operations, building materials, warehousing, freight handling, and pier weighing across the region. Rated from 6 to 30 tonnes, it’s the scale of choice for steel and scrap yards, metal traders, ports, and construction materials operations.
If your floor scale spends its life getting dropped on, this is the one built to survive it.
PTA469 Floor Scale (U-Shaped Pallet Scale)
Ramps slow people down and give inspectors something to write up. The PTA469’s U-shaped platform lets a pallet jack, forklift, or powered walkie drive straight into the open area and lower the load directly onto the scale, with no ramp to climb and no pit to install. Because wheeled vehicles never drive across the platform, there’s far less wear and tear to shorten the scale’s life, and the fully open channels and reduced surface area allow for faster, easier washdown in sanitary applications across food, dairy, and bakery lines. Attachments including bumper guards, leg wideners, side rails, a load plate, and a wheel kit mean one platform adapts as your operation’s needs change. Capacities run from 1,100 kg to 2,250 kg.

FAQ
Which floor scale is legal for trade in Saudi Arabia and the GCC?
Every scale in this range carries OIML certification, and most carry NTEP as well. GSS handles the local calibration and documentation so each unit is ready for legal-for-trade use in KSA and across the GCC from day one.
How often does a floor scale need calibration?
Most industrial floor scales need calibration every 6 to 12 months, but high-throughput sites, hazardous-area installations, and scales exposed to heavy dust or moisture often need it more frequently. GSS calibration contracts track this automatically so your certification never quietly expires.
Can floor scales be installed in hazardous areas like oil and gas or petrochemical sites?
Yes. The PFD779, PFA569 Liftop, and PTA469 are all available in ATEX and Zone-rated configurations for hazardous areas. GSS handles the zone classification review and paperwork alongside the installation.
What’s the difference between a floor scale, a pallet truck scale, and a pallet scale?
A floor scale is a fixed platform for general weighing. A pallet truck scale, like the BTA231, combines transport and weighing in one tool. A pallet scale, like the PTA469 or BSA231-600M, removes or reduces ramps so a pallet jack or forklift can load it directly.
Which scale handles crane-loaded or high-impact weighing for metals and scrap?
The PG/PGV range. Its double-platform, spring-buffered design is built specifically to absorb the impact of crane-dropped loads without transferring that shock to the load cells.
Do any of these scales work in hygienic, washdown environments for food or pharma?
Yes. The PFA569 Liftop and PTA469 are both stainless steel and rated for washdown environments, with the Liftop’s lift mechanism giving full access underneath for cleaning.
Does GSS install and service these scales across the whole GCC?
Yes. GSS covers installation, commissioning, and ongoing calibration from offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Dubai, so support doesn’t stop at the sale.
Can GSS connect a floor scale to coding, marking, or labeling systems on the same line?
Yes. Weighing is one part of a connected production or logistics line. GSS also supplies coding and marking equipment, HERMA labeling systems, and Robopac packaging machinery, and can integrate all of it around the scale you choose here.
